A year ago, we were introduced to K.J. Wright, linebacker for the Seattle Seahawks. The relationship developed when Wright was deeply moved by what he saw in the Masai Mara region of Kenya – a dire need for clean water. It was then that a dream began to take shape to bring clean water to this area.

Last week, the Healing Hands staff in Nashville pulled in to the office to discover a surprise waiting in the parking lot. Overnight, a donated pump truck had arrived after traveling around 2,500 miles from Idaho to Tennessee.

During the last week of June, two members of our Walk4Water team (Sean Judge and Caleb McCurry) traveled to Haiti with members from the Singing Oaks Church of Christ in Denton, Texas.

Each month, we see hundreds of trainees across Africa receive the gift of empowerment. Many come into the two-day food security workshops desperate and discouraged, but they all leave with a hopeful vision for the future.
