Empowering women is a crucial component in fostering economic growth and social progress. Our goal is to give women the opportunities and resources they need in order to lift themselves—and ultimately their families and communities—out of poverty.
To fully equip women for a promising future, though, is to nurture the uniqueness of their existence. God created women with fierce abilities and goals: “Strength and honor are her clothing; she is confident about the future.” Proverbs 31:25
Reaching beyond business ventures and investing in the whole person, HHI intends to break down barriers that may prevent women from reaching their full, individual potential. Because understanding feminine health is a major key to confidence and dignity in any woman’s life, we strive to care for her mental and physical well-being by providing supplies and classes focused solely on women’s issues.
In many parts of the world, access to and understanding of basic feminine hygiene products is nonexistent, challenging personal dignities and fostering doubt and confusion. HHI has been shipping feminine hygiene kits to women in need. We have paired the kits with a feminine hygiene curriculum so that they can make informed decisions about their health and improve overall self-confidence and resilience.
Maud Mwashuma of the Chiremwaremwa group in Zimbabwe was deeply thankful for the kits and curriculum:
