Continuing and celebrating our long-standing relationship with Lipscomb University, the Academy middle school students recently joined us in-office to help pack MAGI bags. They started their visit with a crash-course explanation of the mission of Healing Hands International, illustrated by our gifted and deeply impassioned Donor and Community Engagement guru, Sean Judge. He stirred the excitement in the hearts of our newly commissioned warehouse volunteers, and they were ready for their task instructions. Directed by our incomparable powerhouse and fearlessly innovative Volunteer Coordinator, Nancy Markwood, these Mustangs lined up for an assembly line of success.
It is vital for our young people to accept and appreciate their blessings, and to simultaneously realize the plight of fellow youth around the globe. The key and catalyst to committing their life’s efforts to the Lord’s work is to give them the opportunity and inspiration to care for others so much that they put ideas into action.
We are proud of our healthy connections with schoolchildren in our area, and we look forward to our days together, opening our eyes to ways we can help others. Age is no limiting factor in the calling of the Greatest Commandments, and the MAGI Program is the ideal intersection of the energy and initiative of youth and the words of Jesus Christ:
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.”
This is the first and greatest commandment.
And the second is like it: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
Matthew 22:37-39
Thank you, Lipscomb Academy Mustangs, for your time, your interest, and your commitment. We hope to see you again soon!
