Each month, we see hundreds of trainees across Africa receive the gift of empowerment. Many come into the two-day food security workshops desperate and discouraged, but they all leave with a hopeful vision for the future.
Pius Momanyi, a father of three and recent graduate of an HHI workshop, was a bit different. He was also searching for hope, not with his eyes, but with his hands. You see, Pius is legally blind, making it very difficult for him to earn a living and provide for his family. He did not let this keep him from getting his hands dirty. Pius felt his way through each step of the training and graduated feeling confident in his ability to provide food for his family.
This is a powerful example of what Feeding Families For LIFE is all about!
