Making a Difference in the Bahamas
Posted by Emily Lansdell on September 30, 2019

YOU are making a different in the Bahamas, but much help is still needed!

The work to restore life in the Bahamas after Hurricane Dorian is ongoing. So many donations have poured in over the last few weeks and God's work is being done. We are so thankful to those who have generously sent donations and relief supplies, but the needs continue to multiply. Relief efforts have only just begun with partner churches in the Bahamas and stateside in Florida (click here for a detailed map).

Last week, a container of relief supplies arrived in Freeport. This shipment contained supplies purchased with donations along with family food boxes provided by one of our partner organizations, Churches of Christ Disaster Relief. Donations are also being used to fund relief efforts on the ground in the Bahamas.

In the weeks to come, we plan to assemble volunteer work crews to travel to the Bahamas that will be hosted by churches there. Continue to watch your email and our social media channels for news about these trips if you are interested.

In the interim, please continue to pray for the Bahamas, and consider contributions to meet the needs listed here for the next shipment. We ask also for you to share this information within your church and community. Thank you!
