MAGI/Texas Border Update:
Posted by Ashley Reeves on July 31, 2014

Our HHI team will be in Harlingen, Texas from August 12th -14th to assemble boxes with the 8th and Harrison Church of Christ members and their families. In conjunction with the Texas Border Patrol and the Food Bank of the Rio Grande Valley, we will be distributing our specially prepared boxes to the children who came across the border with their mothers. Due to government regulations, we are only allowed to prepare our MAGI boxes for this particular group of children. This week will be phase one of a two phase distribution process.

Phase two will occur later in the year during the first two weeks of December, when our team will return to the border to partner again with the 8th and Harrison congregation, as well as the Pharr Church of Christ North in Pharr, Texas. We will be distributing thousands of MAGI boxes in partnership with the Iglesia De Cristo churches in the Pharr/McAllen area, as well as with the Iglesia De Cristo churches across the Mexican border. We will be handing out our MAGI boxes as normal with special emphasis placed on the bibles included, which were purchased with the funds received from your donations.

Our prayer is that we will be able to effectively spread the love of Jesus to those who have settled in the Rio Grande Valley area during this time of crisis.

Please continue to keep the MAGI ministry in your prayers. We thank you for your continued financial support for all our work at Healing Hands International.

Sincerely,

Doug Fair
VP of Operations for Healing Hands International
