Magi Boxes Leave for Honduras!
Posted by Lori Kovach on November 9, 2011

Another season of the Magi Project is coming to a close and it's shaping up to be another record breaking year! Yesterday the staff at the Nashville office waved goodbye to a third container, this one heading to Honduras. The final boxes are now being inspected, sorted and counted and soon they will arrive at their destination so they can be delivered in time for Christmas.

This year, like every year, we have had several new groups join our efforts to bring these gifts to thousands of children. One such group is Girl Scout Troop #2382. They were looking for a service opportunity and one mom had learned of the Magi Project. The girls decided they wanted to help children that were less fortunate than them so they set out to make a difference. They each purchased a variety of items, brought them to their meeting and had a present packing party. When all was said and done they had put together 25 Magi boxes!

We at Healing Hands are so appreciative of the time and effort that these girls and their parents put into making these Magi Boxes so special! Without the work and dedication of so many groups like this one we would not be able to make this happen. Make sure to check back in the next couple of weeks as the final number of Magi Boxes for 2011 is announced.
