Meet our friend Agnes who lives in Zambia. She delivered her baby on the same morning our team distributed hand sewn women’s hygiene packs at the Namwianga hospital in Zambia. As we explained how and why to use the items in the drawstring sack, her face lit up! “Thank you, thank you...” she kept whispering.

Jason Nanjaame shares a tragically common story with many Zambian children: his mother died while giving birth to him. As recently as 30 years ago, when this situation happened, the baby was buried alive with the mother.

Sophy Atieno was a World Bible School convert of Jan Yates from Nashville, TN. Sophy relayed the need for food assistance in her community to Jan and an HHI workshop was planned for the area.
