Venezuela Earthquake Response

On June 24, 2026, Venezuela was rocked by double earthquakes, and the death toll continues to mount, passing 3,800. Electricity, water, and propane are still difficult to access in the worst hit areas, and the political environment has presented additional obstacles.

Despite the difficult circumstances, the church network continues to work tirelessly and is helping to provide hope and relief to victims. We are proud to work alongside our partners and lean into the different strengths of our team.

HHI is committed to helping with both the immediate relief and the long-term recovery. Our work so far is focusing on five areas: shipping relief supplies, purchasing food, medicine, and essentials within the country, empowering local Christians to lead the on-the-ground response, creating “soup kitchens” via food trucks and food carts to serve families in the tent cities, and exploring trauma counseling opportunities. We know recovery will take months, if not years, and we’re committed to walking alongside the people of Venezuela for as long as it takes.

Please continue to pray for the victims, the responders, local church leaders, and the coordination efforts of continued relief.
