While we grieve with those who have lost loved ones, we also thank God that the number of lives lost has been kept to a minimum following Hurricane Melissa—one of the three largest storms ever recorded in the Caribbean—which caused extensive destruction across multiple nations.
Our teams continue to assess the damage and coordinate with local partners to deliver immediate relief and long-term recovery support. We are actively working with several congregations to repair their roofs so their buildings can be used as relief centers.
Learn more and see how you can get involved:
In Jamaica, we are:
Repairing damaged roofs
Shipping containers of humanitarian supplies
Assisting small businesses in rebuilding and reopening
In Haiti, we are:
Providing food assistance to the most vulnerable
Supporting farmers whose crops were destroyed
Repairing homes on the southern peninsula
In the Dominican Republic, Cuba, and the Bahamas, we are:
Continuing to assess the extent of the damage
Identifying the most effective ways to provide aid and recovery assistance
Please continue to pray for the victims, the relief and recovery efforts, and that Christians may reflect God’s love during this time.
If you would like to contribute physical items, we are currently accepting hygiene kits, family bucket kits, and tarps. These we plan to send to Jamaica along with generators and additional relief equipment.
Items can be dropped off at our office: 455 McNally Drive, Nashville, TN 37211
