I’d like to tell you a little more about Walk4Water - this great project! Walk4Water is a four-mile walk in honor of those that have to walk 4 miles everyday to collect water.
Every day in developing countries, women and children walk an average of 4 miles to collect the water their family needs for the day. Not only does this chore keep their children from attending school, the dirty water they bring home is deadly. My daughter and son-in-law went to Haiti last summer to witness this firsthand and assist in the drilling of wells there.
Currently, every 26 seconds a child dies from water-borne diseases, killing over 3,300 children each day. Healing Hands International believes that WATER IS LIFE, and so do I.
I invite you to join me in bringing LIFE through the gift of clean water to people around the world.
