People in developing countries walk an average of 4 miles to get water that is clean enough for them to drink. Most of these people are the women and children of the communities thus perpetuating a downward spiral of poverty and a lack of education. With the clean water source in the villages the people can manage their homes and receive a proper education. As the missionaries in these villages provide physical water they can also introduce them to the Living Water, Jesus Christ.
Six years ago we partnered with HHI to host our first Walk4Water. This has truly become a community event. Area churches, community groups, schools, and businesses are joining together to help make this year’s walk a success. We need your help too. Get your team together and register online today.
Our walk is Saturday, April 27 at the Wilson Stage at the foot of Broadway on the banks of the Ohio River. Registration will be at 8 AM with the walk beginning at 9 AM. This is a free event and everyone who registers receives a free T-Shirt. Let’s raise awareness and money to help others around the world to have clean drinking water for themselves and their families.
