Spring in Wisconsin
For most people the thoughts that come to mind when they hear Spring is warm weather, sunny skies, and blooming flowers. For people who live up north, the thoughts of Spring are hopefully no more snow! A 50 degree, cloudy skies with a little rain greeted all the walkers at the first walk in Cedarburg. The weather may not sound like a Spring day but the way everyone was enjoying themselves you would not know the difference. The skies may have been gloomy but not the spirits of those who walked. Everyone was focused on the task at hand, making an impact so people in Haiti could triumph over dirty water. At the end of the walk, the conversations were not about the weather, they were about how much fun was had and how this needs to be a yearly event!
A big shout out to the Global Scholars Club at Cedarburg HS. They were instrumental in getting the word out, setting up the walk, and volunteering at the walk.
