Project Details

At Healing Hands, we believe that no one should live without love or water! Now, the community in Sichombola, Zambia will know God's love because of your gift of clean water. Approximately 780 community members will benefit from this well. Much like the Samaritan woman in John 4, when these people come to draw clean drinking water, they will also have the opportunity to encounter the living water of Jesus. As always, God does the healing, but He is using your hands (and feet) to do it.

Thank you, Birmingham!

The Difference It Made!

Meet Mweembe

Mweembe Mwiinde is a mother of seven children who lives in Sichombola. Her village had a borehole with a hand pump, but both failed in November of 2019 at around the same time as a severe drought in the area. The well could not be repaired. The nearest river is more than 10 miles away, and the area around this village and the river is mountainous, making the journey even harder.

Mweembe says that now that there is water close by, she can spend her days with her children instead of searching for and walking for water. She also said that her children are already healthier, and expressed her gratitude for the church coming to the aid of the village in their time of need. In turn, we want to express our gratitude to YOU for supporting Walk4Water and changing the lives of the Sichombola village members.
