Project Details

At Healing Hands, we believe that no one should live without love or water! Now, the community of Kadunga, Zambia will know God's love because of your gift of clean water. Approximately 1,800 community members will benefit from this well. Much like the Samaritan woman in John 4, when these people come to draw clean drinking water, they will also have the opportunity to encounter the living water of Jesus. As always, God does the healing, but He is using your hands (and feet) to do it.

Thank you, Birmingham!

"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." - Galatians 6:9

The Difference It Made!

Meet Susan

Susan Chiyabi, a mother of five, has lived in Kadunga her entire life. Her village is located in a semi-arid and mountainous region near the Zimbabwean border, and until recently, five kilometers away from the nearest water source. The water source was a hand pump, where women stood in line for hours and paid one Kwacha (K1) for every 20 liters of water.

The community of Kadunga has one of the fastest growing churches of Christ in the area, averaging 120 members. The community is currently building a church building to serve as a preschool for the community, as well. This location is now the site of a new water well, thanks to you!

Because of your gift, people in the Kadunga community will come to the local church to draw water and see the work of God’s people every day. THANK YOU!
