Love in a Box
Posted by Lori Kovach on October 11, 2011

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...hmmm, hm, hm, hm, hmmmmm. Every October the HHI facilties are transformed into Santa's workshop. Volunteers are coming and going every day. Vans, trucks and cars full of beautifully wrapped gifts are lining up in the parking lot to deliver their gifts of love.

One special group like this that we look forward to seeing each year is the 2nd grade students from David Lipscomb Elementary School. Mrs. Regina Langford and the other 2nd grade teachers pile their 70-80 students into a school bus and arrive at our warehouse excited about the gifts they are bringing. They come in, drop off their boxes, and spend a few minutes listening to a special presentation about the children in Honduras whose lives they are blessing. They also get to take a tour of the warehouse and this year they had a pencil-packing race!

We are very thankful for this group and all of the others across the U. S. who make the Magi Project a huge success each year.
