Fruit, in the form of six new businesses, is being produced as a direct result of Healing Hand International’s Christian Women’s Business Conference held in Chennai, India this past February. These new businesses include: Curries and Spices Center, Embroidered Tunics, Breakfast Center, Custom Made Baby Clothes, Matching Sarees (Saris) and Blouses and a Tailoring Center.
One hundred sisters registered for the conference, 80 from the Chennai area and 20 from various villages. Sheela Immanuel coordinated sisters attending from the Chennai area and Prasanthi Rao, Healing Hands Woman Worth a Million India representative, coordinated ladies traveling in from 7 different villages.
Ladies attending the conference followed a scripturally based curriculum guide called the Christian Women’s Business Manual. The curriculum guide is based on two important components, godly principals and examples as revealed in the Bible and time proven successful business concepts.
The Christian Women’s Business training initially used ideas gleaned in Ghana; those ideas were complied and the first draft of the business manual was written first implemented in Haiti, then in India and most recently, Mozambique.
The concept of micro business loans is to give sisters opportunity to establish their own small businesses, pay back the loans which will then be offered to other sisters who wish to have the same opportunity.
Prasanthi Rao best sums up the appreciation for this beautiful opportunity, “All the sisters (who took the loans) are very thankful…Units are running good. They are repaying the installments…They (the sisters) tell us it is good to their income generation. They reached some basic needs from runing these units. These units are very helpful for their livelihood. Glory to God. YOUR LOVE MAKES THEIR LIFE HAPPY.”
Please pray for these and other sisters for business opportunities yet to come that as Jabaz requested of the Lord in 1 Chronicles 4:10“Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” So God granted him what he requested.” And, in all things, give glory and thanks to our Lord from whom all blessings flow.
