We've all heard the accounts of Jesus' first miracle of turning water into wine but who among us has heard of turning cookies into water? Well, we have!
Just last week we were visited by Girl Scout Troop #2698. This group of girls came to our Nashville office after an eventful field day at their school to deliver the proceeds of their annual cookie sale. Through the sale of those yummy Girl Scout cookies these young ladies will provide the gift of clean water to thousands of girls just like themselves in the nation of Haiti. Challenged by an anonymous donor, these girls went door-to-door and house-to-house selling cookies in an effort to raise enough money to drill a well and THEY DID IT!
Still struggling to recover from the disaster that struck their nation more than 2 years ago, the people of Haiti still need our help. These girls prove that a little bit of hard work can go a long way toward making a significant impact in the lives of others. What kind of difference can you make? Time and time again we see how God can use even the smallest hands to carry out his healing work...we just have to decide if we are willing to let Him use us.
Thank you Troop #2698 for being willing!
