Ghana Update: Exams and Graduation
Posted by Meredith Beck on July 27, 2018

Back in May, students across the United States spent hours studying for final exams.  At the same time, there was another group of hardworking students on the other side of the world who were also getting ready to take exams.

Thanks to the support of generous donors, Healing Hands was able to come alongside 36 Ghanaian students to support them in their schooling, which will ultimately open the door to provide an income for their families.  After spending two years in trade school, these students took their final exams in various fields of study such as, catering, carpentry, electrical, hairdressing, building and construction, dressmaking, and computer programming.

The director of the school, Elizabeth, has worked very hard and has selflessly invested her time and energy into the lives of these students to prepare them for success.

As the students prepare to graduate, we want to equip these young adults to have successful businesses.  One way we can partner with them is by providing tool boxes filled with supplies related to their career field.  For example, a student who studied dressmaking will receive a tool box filled with sewing supplies, such as needles, thread, and material.  These tool boxes will help kickstart the students’ businesses and are a wonderful way to celebrate their hard work and graduation!

God has so graciously blessed many of us with more than we need. This is a wonderful opportunity for the body of Christ to come together and share the love of Jesus with our brothers and sisters in Ghana.  One toolbox costs $150.00:
