Feed a Family for Life

When we don’t feel like eating at home, we take the family out for dinner. When we see something we like at the store, we purchase it. Expenditures for many of us are so routine that we nonchalantly give up our money to find contentment. When we are richly blessed with life’s necessities, we often gain a perception that only luxuries bring satisfaction. Yet for some in this world, satisfaction is merely the result of sustainability.

What if you could FEED A FAMILY FOR LIFE at a similar price to your everyday expenditures? For $25, you can give a family the opportunity to enroll in one of our gardening workshops.

Jeremiah, our friend from Kisii, Kenya, now cultivates his own garden that continues to provide for his family; however, it wasn’t until he joined our gardening workshop in 2016 that he was given a chance for sustainability.

To understand Jeremiah’s story, you must know that he was born with severely deformed arms and feet and was viewed as a “devil child” by the people of his village early on. These physical deformities sent him into a downward spiral, and at his darkest point in life, Jeremiah was an alcoholic and an abusive husband to his wife.

Through our workshop, Jeremiah learned about drip irrigation and found that despite his physical disadvantages, he had the ability to plant seeds, hoe the ground, and tend to the garden quite well. After completing the workshop, Jeremiah and a number of others became Christians and were baptized. Now, they have built a church and are ministering to others in the community.

Your $25 provides a family with the tools and training needed to feed themselves for a lifetime.

“Then Jesus declared, ‘I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.’” – John 6:35
