Well in honor of Bill Riggs for Zimbabwe

Clean Water Projects

Help Us Reach the Goal!

100%
Campaign Goal: $7,500
Raised So Far: $7,501

In 2019 Eden Hinton visited Haiti at the age of 9. We went with Bill and Mary Ann Riggs, who supported mission work in Haiti for decades. In July 2020, at the age of 10, Eden successfully raised $7,500 for a well to be drilled in Haiti. This happened because Bill believed in Eden’s efforts and helped connect her to Healing Hands International. We didn’t know it at the time, but that 2019 trip to Haiti would be Bill’s last. He died unexpectedly in November.

Two weeks before he died, Bill told Mary Ann that he hoped to drill a well a year for the rest of their lives. Eden, her brothers, and some friends from church want to help honor Bill’s vision. Eden has partnered with Mary Ann to drill this well in Zimbabwe, where they have been hit hard with COVID.

Only 33% of Zimbabwe has access to clean water, making recovery from COVID extremely challenging. They are desperate for clean water. With your help, we will both honor the wishes of Bill and get clean water to the good people of Zimbabwe. Thank you for helping us in this effort!!

Clean Water

The Clean Water program provides water wells and filters for those who would otherwise be drinking dirty, unhealthy water. A clean water well in the community allows people to pursue education, agriculture, and work opportunities rather than spending hours searching for a water source.
