Youth In Action For India

It's never too early to be the hands and feet of Jesus! The 3rd and 4th grade Bible class at Woodson Chapel church of Christ are learning what this means. Their teachers, Cheryl Hughes and Sharon Archibald (long-time HHI volunteer), have spent time helping the kids learn about the needs of others and the importance of showing the love of Christ through giving to meet those needs.

For 3 years in a row the group has raised money. This year they raised $1,100 to purchase water filtration kits for the people in India devastated by recent flooding. The elders at Woodson Chapel were so moved by their efforts, they chose to match that gift, doubling the impact!

Caleb McMurry, of the HHI staff, had the opportunity to visit the class and talk about the impact of the water filtration kits for the people that would receive them. If you are interested in having someone from HHI come to speak to your Bible class or other small group, contact us today at 615-832-2000.
