Start a Walk

So, you want to Walk 4 Water, but you live in Arizona and it is a pretty long drive to Nashville, TN. No problem! You can host a Walk 4 Water in your own town.

To get started, this is what we recommend: Begin by forming a committee of people at your church, school or business that are as passionate as you are about bringing clean water to those in need. If they haven't seen it, show them the video about clean water to get them excited about the effort. The two most important details that your committee needs to establish is the location and the date of your event. These will need to be determined based on weather and the calendar of popular events in your region. Most groups choose to host their walk at an area park or school track on a Saturday, but some have even done the walk along the city streets on a Sunday afternoon. We do strongly encourage you to verify any city regulations and permit requirements for your city before scheduling your event.

Once you have set a date and location for your event, email Lori with your event details and we will setup an online registration page for your walk. This page will be where each of your participants will come to register for the walk. They will be able to create teams, set personal goals and invite friends and family to sponsor their effort. Our staff will be available to answer questions and guide you through the process of hosting your walk.
