As the old saying goes, “Give a man a fish, you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish, you feed him for a lifetime.” This is what the Healing Hands Agricultural Department is all about.
In addition to these ongoing problems of hunger, there are also emergency food needs as a result of natural disasters. When an immediate need arises, HHI is equipped to respond to pressing needs as well as to restore and rebuild local communities. With the help of workshops and education, community members learn how to build an efficient agricultural economy. HHI seeks to help those in need by teaching them how to survive on their own.
Once immediate needs have been met, Healing Hands International continues its efforts to restore the community by teaching individuals how to provide for their own needs with simple drip irrigation skills. This effort among local community members and volunteers creates an opportunity for both economic and spiritual development.HHI Hosts Ag Workshops At Home
