Reybin Receives Breath Of Life

 

Healing Hands first found out about Reybin and his family when we were contacted by a sister organization, Little Hands, Big Hearts. Reybin's mother, Santana, brought her son to their Family Development Center at the age of 8 months and he was diagnosed with cerebral palsy.

 

Since that time, LHBH has been able to help the family in many ways. When they realized that Reybin was in need of a nebulizer, they contacted HHI. Cindy Herring, medical supplies coordinator at HHI, informed them that we did have a nebulizer, but it did not have a battery. Cindy told them that she would be on the lookout for the needed battery and would inform them as soon as she was able to locate one.

 

The very next day, one of our medical suppliers delivered a pallet of supplies. Among the inventory was the specific battery needed to operate Reybin's nebulizer! Wow!

 

In a recent report from LHBH, we found out that Reybin's breathing has drastically improved and his twice daily treatments will allow him to grow stronger and build up his immune system. At one time Reybin's doctors said that he had no brain activity. Since receiving treatment, he is now able to touch his nose, mouth and hair when asked!
