Kentucky Ladies Inspire Dorcas Ministry

 

Last year, HHI staff members traveled to Honduras to help distribute the Magi gift boxes to children who would not be receiving anything else for Christmas. This is something that HHI does every year, but this time it was a bit different.

 One of the places we delivered boxes was a women's prison. The ladies at the prison were able to see their children once a week on visiting day. HHI was able to provide each mother with a small Christmas gift to give to their child. Not only that, but each one also received a brand new dress handmade with love from Paducah, KY. You can imagine the joy these ladies felt knowing they would be able to provide something special for their children.

 

The Dorcas Ministry is not limited to sundresses. Some sewing ministries have made blankets to be sent to hospitals and clinics around the world. Others have made stuffed animals for orphanages. There are so many ways that a sewing ministry can be a blessing.
