In December, three members of the HHI staff along with five Magi project participants traveled to the capital city of Honduras, Tegucigalpa, to help distribute the special gifts.
The group traveled to six different locations around the city. One of the most special stops on the journey was the women's prison. They were able to worship with and encourage these women who were separated from their families. Each of the women was given a Magi gift box to give to her child on visiting day.
When the group arrived at each church, there were always hundreds of children waiting to greet them. Many of them had to walk over an hour to get there, but you would never know it by the smiles on their faces.
It is such a blessing to see the fruit of the hard work of so many people here in the U.S. Yet, it is also a reminder for us of the great need for more boxes. Please consider getting involved in the Magi project. If you are already involved, please encourage others to participate. As always, our goal is to make next year another record-breaking year!
