Hurricane Felix Slams Central America

Felix hit land at 160 mph, ripping off roofs, uprooting trees and flooding communities. Forecasters are predicting flooding up to 18 feet above normal tide levels.

The people of Honduras remember the power and destruction of Hurricane Mitch in 1998. Hurricane Felix seems to be following the same path. This means that many of the towns and villages being struck by Felix have never recovered from Mitch.

These people desperately need help to rebuild their lives. HHI has many contacts in Honduras and we will be responding quickly with support. If you would like to help please visit our donation page or call us at (615) 832-2000.
