HHI Responding to Peru Quake Victims

On Wednesday, August 15 the nation of Peru was struck with an 8.0 magnitude earthquake. This disaster has affected at least four cities leaving hundreds dead and thousands injured.

In the city of Pisco, Peru (population 68,000), over 80% of the homes have been destroyed. While the people slept on the streets Friday night, an aftershock quake of 5.9 magnitude shook the ground. This aftershock was only one of more than 20 that have hit Peru in the last few days.

Healing Hands International has already responded with funds being sent to brethren in the Lima area. We have also committed medical supplies such as antibiotics and dressing supplies to be sent this week with a local mission team.

We realize that this is just the beginning of the help these people will need to rebuild their lives. We need your help. Please visit our donation page today or call for questions at (615) 832-2000.
